Association of Teachers of Japanese
   The Association of Teachers of Japanese is an international, non-profit, non-political organization of individuals and institutions seeking to promote the study of Japanese language, linguistics, literature, culture, and pedagogy, primarily at the college or university level. The Association fosters professional development and the exchange of research, and seeks to coordinate its activities with related organizations to promote Japanese studies.

Japan Foundation
   The mission of the Japan Foundation is to promote international cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and other countries. The Japan Foundation activities, aiming comprehensive and effective development of its international cultural exchange programs, consist of following three major categories: Arts & Cultural Exchange, Japanese-Language Education Overseas, and Japanese Studies and Intellectual Exchange. The Foundation maintains its headquarters in Tokyo and operates through a network of 21 overseas offices in 20 countries worldwide.

Japan Society, New York
  Established in 1907, New York's Japan Society has evolved into North America's single major producer of high-quality content on Japan for an English-speaking audience. Presenting over 100 events annually through well established Corporate, Education, Film, Gallery, Lectures, Performing Arts and Innovators Network programs, the Society is an internationally recognized nonprofit, nonpolitical organization that provides access to information on Japan, offers opportunities to experience Japanese culture, and fosters sustained and open dialogue on issues important to the U.S., Japan, and East Asia.

National Council of Japanese Language Teachers
  The National Council of Japanese Language Teachers (NCJLT) is an organization dedicated to the promotion and development of Japanese language teaching at the elementary, secondary, and higher education levels across the United States. The mission of NCJLT is to support Japanese Language teachers and promote Japanese Language education. The vision of NCJLT is to foster the study of Japanese language and culture at the Pre-K-16 levels via supportive programs.
